What To Expect When You Join

Harmony: A Colorado Chorale is a non-audition LGBTQIA+ and ally SATB chorus. No experience necessary.
All you have to do is JUST SHOW UP!

The first weeks for a new member you just show up and get a feel of how we operate. No commitment necessary.

WHERE & WHEN
We rehearse every Monday at 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 3131 Osceola St, Denver, in the HUMC Fellowship Hall. The entrance is on the Osceola side of the building and the Fellowship Hall is on the first floor. Fully accessible. There are usually snacks!

PARKING
HUMC has a few parking spaces across the street at The Garage, but is limited. There is street parking, but just pay attention to the signs. For example, some of the street parking requires a resident sticker. We always encourage carpooling.

MUSIC
Again, we are a non-audition chorus split into Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Alto, and Soprano sections. A chorus member will help you find where the sections sit when you arrive. If you do not know your section or range, we will work with you! Our sections are not gendered and are based solely on vocal range. No experience required. Joy, our Artistic Director, and the music team do their best to keep the music accessible, yet challenging enough for a fullfilling experience.
We do our best to be fully digital, but will provide printed music if needed. We use a website called Chorus Connection for all our sheet music, rehearsal tracks, calendar, and communication. The first weeks of rehearsals, our team will get you signed up on Chorus Connection.

DUES
We have yearly dues that most members split into monthly payments to pay for music, staff, venues, and our membership with GALA Choruses, the international choral organization of LGBTQIA Choruses, where we join a festival every 4 years with over 200 LGBTQIA choruses from around the world. More information about dues will be discussed in the first few weeks, but know that we do not want money to be the reason not to join. We will work with you! We are a community after all!

If all of this sounds up your alley, check us out and COME JOIN US!
